APPLEWOOD INN, RESTAURANT AND SPA is an enclave for romance at the heart of the Russian River Valley.
This Boutique Wine Country Inn, with its 19 rooms and suites, a fine food restaurant, and a spa, is located 1 hour north of the
Golden Gate Bridge. Applewood is in the heart of the Russian River Valley Pinot Noir and Chardonnay growing region.
Sheltered by towering redwoods and surrounded by six acres of fruit orchards and gardens, this romantic getaway offers adults
a secluded and peaceful refuge to relax, rejuvenate and re-connect.
The Restaurant at Applewood is known for its Wine Country Cuisine inspired by the lush bounty of the Russian River Valley and
accented with Mediterranean influences. Built in the style of a French country barn, the restaurant's menu is seasonal and
locally sourced. Its wine program is Russian River-centric.
The Spa at Applewood offers relaxed pampering in a tranquil setting. Whether it's a day visit or an appointment during your
stay, the spa is a key ingredient for a perfect get away.
The gardens and orchards at Applewood grow organic fruits, herbs, and vegetables that together with its bee hives and chicken
coop, reflect Applewood's commitment to sustainability.
The green apple in Applewood's logo is a symbol of the eco-consciousness apparent throughout the property. The use of solar
energy for producing electricity and heating the pool, an in-house, aerated, composting system and many other green practices
provide a canvas for the conservation of Applewood's beauty.
Applewood is a sanctuary for tranquility and intimacy as well as a portal to world-class wineries, the mystical Russian River, the
rugged and dramatic Northern California coastline, and the ancient Armstrong Redwood Forest.
The Inn at APPLEWOOD, a Sonoma County landmark built in 1922, has two types of accommodations. The nine rooms in the
historic villa are comfortable and cozy, reflecting the charm of the Mission style architecture and a bygone era. The chairs in the
living room encourage lounging around the rustic river-rock fireplace.
The ten rooms in the newer buildings are larger, airier, and feature gas fireplaces, jacuzzi tubs or showers for two. They are
decorated in earth tones that recall a Mediterranean villa, and each room enjoys an outside patio, terrace, verandah, or
balcony. Three of them, some of them have been furnished with fire pits and hot tubs in their own private patios.
Situated atop the Piccola Casa, "Il Terrazzo di Amore" was designed with lovers in mind. Featuring a king sized sleight bed with
Tempurpedic mattress, lofted ceilings, gas fireplace, and a private terrace with a hot tub, fire pit, and fountains, Il Terrazzo di
Amore is the perfect hideaway for a honeymoon or romantic weekend.
All of the rooms at APPLEWOOD inn boasts memory foam mattresses, fine Italian linens, European down comforters, imported
spa therapy toiletries, plush monogrammed robes, and hair dryers. Cable, flat screen televisions, telephones, CD players/clock
radios, and wifi access allow guests to keep in touch with the world outside of Applewood.
