Wine Country Inns of Sonoma County's Russian River Valley

A very special group
of wine country inns await...

Redwoods, Biking and the Russian River in Sonoma County's Wine Country

omantic Bed and Breakfast Inns and intimate Wine
Country Hotels are tucked away on Sonoma County's quiet country lanes or in historic Russian River resort towns like Guerneville, Monte Rio and Healdsburg. Day trips to the Sonoma Coast, Alexander Valley, Dry Creek Valley, and our own Russian River Valley vineyards make the Russian River Inns a great choice for Sonoma lodging.
Our association includes examples of rural Victorian farmhouses like Raford Inn, Santa Nella House, and Ridenhour Sonoma Orchid Inn. We have one Mission Revival mansion at Applewood Inn. The association also includes examples of classic Russian River resorts like Creekside Inn & Resort, Ferngrove Inn, Highlands Resort and Village Inn.

A Unique and Eclectic Blend
The cottages, bed and breakfast inns, small hotels and casual resorts that comprise the Russian River Inns truly have something for everyone. The Applewood Inn’s elegance and on-site restaurant is balanced by the very casual atmosphere at Highlands Resort. The Village Inn’s proximity to the Pacific Ocean and Sonoma Coast along the banks of the Russian River are complimented by Raford Inn’s placement just outside of Healdsburg. Elegant country bed and breakfast inns like the Ridenhour Sonoma Orchid Inn and Santa Nella House work beautifully with cottages and inns in Guerneville like Creekside Inn and Fern Grove Cottages. All the inns share a well established belief in caring for guests in true Sonoma County fashion: friendliness, warmth and hospitality.

Redwoods and the Russian River
Nearby activities that draw visitors include towering redwoods, on-site as well as Guerneville’s Armstrong Woods State Redwoods Reserve; kayaking and canoeing, cycling and hiking, or simply sunbathing along the Russian River, the Russian River Wine Road and loads of shopping and antiquing from Healdsburg to Duncan’s Mills to Occidental to Santa Rosa. The Russian River Wine Road appellations include Russian River Valley, Green and Alexander Valleys and Dry Creek. Whale watching at Bodega Head near Bodega Bay both in spring and fall, sport fishing off Bodega Bay, golfing at one of many courses from Windsor to Northwood with towering old-growth redwoods along the fairways to Bodega Bay to Santa Rosa – there’s something for everyone.

Amazing Restaurants
It’s not just the inns that offer variety and good food. Local restaurants from Occidental to Healdsburg to Forestville and Bodega Bay all have their own take on wholesome local ingredients carefully prepared. From Cyrus in Healdsburg to the restaurants at the Applewood Inn and Village Inn to the live music and lively food at Main Street Station in Guerneville, there’s truly something for everyone’s taste and budget.

Close to What You Want
The Russian River Valley perfectly places you close to what you want and gives you what you need. Being placed between the Pacific Ocean and Sonoma Coast and the urban scene of Santa Rosa and Healdsburg along the beautiful Russian River gives us the ability to serve it all up to our guests with ease, comfort and a sense of country bliss.
