DESCRIPTION
The Rio Villa Beach Resort in Monte Rio sits alongside the bank of the Russian River and enjoys a private beach awash in sunshine. Families and couples alike find themselves lulled into relaxation once they arrive to enjoy the surroundings that are offered. Each accommodation is unique and many have views of the river, but all are thoughtfully appointed and thoroughly maintained. Although the property has a genuine charm from the road, guests are overwhelmingly thrilled with what they discover on the river side. There are manicured lawns and gardens sloping down to the river with seating areas both large and small. A large rock fireplace is a focal point along one side of the largest seating area and there’s even a cozy beach house in which to gather and enjoy.

The Rio Villa is a mere 10 minutes in every direction to some of the area’s greatest attractions. Discover the rugged Sonoma coast to the west and hike Armstrong Redwoods State Reserve to the north. You can sample from the first of many wineries at Korbel to the east or visit historic Occidental along the Bohemian Highway to the south. Whatever you are hoping to experience while at the Russian River, you will find it close by when you stay at the Rio Villa.

CUISINE
Breakfast is served daily in the centrally located guest office with both indoor and outdoor seating year ‘round. The Rio Villa serves an extended continental breakfast of coffee cakes, breads, muffins, fresh fruit, juice and fresh brewed coffee. Guests can also select from several choices of cold or hot cereal options. For those wanting more privacy, trays are provided to carry breakfast back to the room.

ACCOMMODATIONS
Each of the guest rooms has a private outside entrance and over half have river views. Several are equipped with full kitchens, but at the very least they all come equipped with a 12-cup coffee maker and assortment of coffee and tea, a microwave, and a small refrigerator. Several have two separate bedrooms for more privacy and all have private baths with hairdryers. Each unit is also equipped with cable TV, telephones and access to the free wireless network.
